Teacher and Student Success Act (TSSA)
The Teacher and Student Success Act (TSSA) Program is established to enhance school performance and student academic achievement via structured school-level plans and funding distribution to Local Education Agencies (LEAs). LEAs must submit a local board approved Student Success Framework to the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) annually to qualify for funding (1/12th distribution of funds to LEAs). A school principal or USDB superintendent develops school-level TSSA plans aligned with LEA frameworks, incorporating input from educators, parents, and councils. Local boards review and approve plans annually.
Please refer to 53G-7-1304, R277-927, and the Allowable Expenditure Program Guide to review allowable and non-allowable funding uses.
