State School Improvement Designations
Elevate School Program
Elevate is Utah's voluntary state school improvement program for eligible non-Title
I schools identified for Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) or Additional Targeted
Support and Improvement (ATSI) under the state's ESSA accountability system. The program
provides participating schools with a comprehensive needs assessment, support from
a USBE-approved Continuous Improvement Expert (CIE), funding to implement evidence-based
improvement strategies, and ongoing guidance to improve outcomes for identified student
groups.
Pursuant to Utah Code 53E-5-302.1, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) solicits applications and designates at
least six Elevate schools in years when a new Springboard cohort is not designated.
The next application cycle for the Elevate Program is anticipated to open in Fall
2026.
In the School Improvement Resources section under State School Improvement Resources please find valuable Elevate information
