Welcome Educators

While educating students is your primary role in Utah schools, you are simultaneously charged with the responsibility of keeping students' data private. This means only sharing student information with individuals who need and are permitted to know information and protecting student data from being accessed by unauthorized individuals. Your day-to-day actions---such as thinking twice before sharing student information with other educators, locking your computer screen when walking away from your computer, and learning to recognize phishing attempts---are key in protecting student data.

Student Data Privacy Course

Licensed Utah educators are required to complete the Utah State Board of Education's Student Data Privacy Educator's Licensure course on Canvas every five years as a part of renewing your license.
