Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Arcadia Guided Outdoor Education is to provide services for initiating and maintaining education and support services or assistance for remote or hybrid learning or to address learning loss under the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools Fund (EANS Fund).

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a), 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “School Official Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA)
signed into law on December 27, 2020 and provides an additional $2.75 billion nationally for the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools Fund (EANS Fund).
