Welcome to the School Safety and Support Grant!
Overview
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 (FY25) School Safety and Support Grant is a competitive
grant opportunity to enhance the physical safety and security of schools in Utah,
including the minimum safety and security standards listed in Utah Code Section 53-22-102.
FY25 Application Cycle
When Local Education Agencies (LEAs) complete the grant application, all schools within their LEA applying must have:
- Completed a school safety needs assessment of their choice (e.g., Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) School Security Assessment Tool (SSAT), Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) School Safety and Security Checklist, Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) Site Assess) between May 1 and December 31, 2024, in collaboration with their County Security Chief or designee; and
- Submitted the 2025 School Safety Needs Assessment Summary Form in Qualtrics by December 31, 2024.
A complete application includes submitting both of the following:
- FY25 School Safety and Support Grant Qualtrics form (provided through the program in the Utah Grants Management System)
- 25POH School Safety and Support Grant Application (Utah Grants Management System)
