Overview
The Child Care Center portion of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) assists child care centers, before-and-after-school programs, Head Start programs, and emergency shelters in providing nutritious meals and snacks to children from birth through 12 years of age, 15 years old for children of migrant workers, and through 18 years for CACFP Emergency Shelters. Youth with disabilities that require care and are in a center where most children are 18 years old and younger also receive meal benefits.

CACFP Reimbursement Rates | Food and Nutrition Service
Reimbursements for meals served to eligible adults:

- are paid out of program funds made available to the State from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Reimbursements may be paid by the State agencies directly, to independent centers or to sponsoring organizations which then reimburse or use the funds to provide food to sponsored facilities,
- are based on the number of meals and snacks served to non-residential eligible adults based on the applicable free, reduced price, or paid rate for meals and snacks.
