Description

Purpose

The purpose of this interagency agreement between the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is for the USBE to provide student information data with the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) for the purpose of allowing DWS to utilize the data to determine household eligibility for Pandemic EBT benefits.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31, 34 CFR § 99.36, and 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Health and Safety Emergency Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
