Period Products in Schools
In 2022, the Utah State Legislature enacted Title 53G-4-413: Required Provision of Period Products in Schools. This statute requires local school boards and charter school governing boards to provide free period products in each female or unisex restroom that students use beginning July 1, 2022. The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) Administrative Rules R277-931: Required Provision of Period Products in Schools further clarifies that period products be provided in school restrooms for grades 1-12.
