Schedule an Appointment

Fingerprinting

USBE Licensing offers LiveScan fingerprinting services at our downtown Salt Lake City office. Before your appointment:

1. Start the USBE background check in the Utah Schools Information Management System (USIMS).
2. Bring all required documents.
3. Bring a current state or federal photo ID (such as a driver’s license).

Appointment details:

• Plan for about 45 minutes.
• Check in at the reception desk when you arrive.
• Staff will validate parking and give you access to the Licensing Department.

Licensing or Application Support

You can find answers to many licensing questions on the USBE website. If you still need help, you can schedule an online or in-person appointment with a member of our licensing team. 

Most questions can be answered in about 30 minutes.

For online appointments:

• At your scheduled time, select the “Join Your Appointment” link in your email.
• The meeting will use Microsoft Teams.

For in-person appointments:

• Check in at the USBE reception desk.
• Staff will validate parking and give you access to the Licensing Department.
