Stanford's Design Thinking

Stanford Innovation Studio

Supporting Differentiation and Student Engagement since 2011, the team from Stanford has facilitated Utah educators in the Design Thinking Process that engages students in the following 21st century skills:

  • Brainstorming ideas for a real-world problem space
  • Developing low resolution prototyping
  • Developing what if statements
  • Empathy mapping through inference using inquiry methods through computer-based discovery
  • Generating themes through clustering
  • Giving and receiving feedback through the iteration process
  • Listening and speaking through interviewing

Utah teachers as Stanford Fellows spent a week in August, 2014 at the Museum of Natural Curiosity with the Stanford Team developing curriculum. Visit the link below for more information.
