Teacher Leaders

The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) is happy to partner with the Utah Teacher Fellows, a chapter of the Hope Street Group. The Utah Teacher Fellows represent a group of experienced classroom professionals with between three and 28 years in classrooms. The fellows engage each year to support USBE efforts to highlight teacher leadership and provide educational guidance to Utah's schools and districts.

Hope Street Group, Utah Teacher Fellows

The Hope Street Group, Utah Teacher Fellows is a nonpartisan nonprofit that connects classroom teachers with their peers and decision makers. The Utah program has been carefully designed to develop the competencies of great teachers, providing them with tools to engage their colleagues and generate solutions to education challenges. To date, Utah Teacher Fellows have met state and federal decision makers, attended regional and national convenings, and been featured in multiple publications.

Utah Teacher Fellows are teachers who remain full time teachers in their schools while contributing approximately 10 hours each month to program activities including data collections, professional learning sessions, and partner meetings. Fellows receive an annual stipend for their time and expertise in contributing to advancing education in Utah.
