Utah Effective Teaching Standards (UETS)
Utah has adopted new Effective Teaching Standards - finalized in August 2023. These standards are used to support educators in growing in ways that create the conditions for students outlined in Utah's Portrait of a Graduate. They also help educators to prioritize the skills, competencies, and instructional practices that align with the current priorities and realities of classrooms, schools, districts, and charters relevant to their community and values.

Professional Learning Network
Utah's Beginning Educator Professional Learning Network is an online gathering place that provides opportunities for early career teachers to meet and share ideas, struggles, and strategies with other early career teachers in the state. The group is accessible through the Utah Education Network (UEN).
Each month, site administrators will share resources and tips with group members. Group members may also use the discussion board to seek information or share their own ideas with peers.
