The 2022 Utah State Legislature's Senate Bill (S.B.) 127: Early Outcomes Improvement directs and supports a collaborative partnership between the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), the Center for the School of the Future (CSF), and Utah Leading through Effective, Actionable, and Dynamic (ULEAD) Education to develop and implement an online repository of digital science of reading and science of reading instruction resources that is accessible to public school teachers, school leaders, parents, and educator preparation programs.
What is the Science of Reading?
The SOR is based on a collection of research studies that describe the cognitive or mental processes that underlie how humans learn to read.
The USBE Science of Reading Panel will ultimately determine additional resources that will be added and/or linked to this repository and organized under the main headings below.
