Description

Purpose

The purpose of this interagency agreement between the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) is for work by the USHE office related to USBE’s Federal Perkins grant oversight. USHE has one individual assigned to work in a leadership role with USBE Career & Technical Education.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins V)
The federal statute governing the grant. It funds Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to improve academic and technical achievement for students.
