Description

Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Bellwether Education Partners, Inc is to provide a data study and analysis of the Check & Connect dropout intervention program. To create a systematic process to interpret statewide data of Utah’s K-12 Youth in Custody (YIC) program. C&C was introduced to Utah as part of the Youth in Custody initiative.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
