Description

Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Concentric Educational Solutions Inc is to provide Family Engagement Training for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Home Visits. Training will support Local Education Agency (LEAs) who have been awarded ESSER funds as part of the Home Visit project to build positive relationships between families and LEAs through teacher home visits.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Family engagement training also falls under the umbrella of ESSA, which is the most recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
