Description

Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Education Direction,LLC is to provide change management professional learning for Local Education Agency (LEA) leaders. Change management professional learning, coaching, and refreshing with a specific focus on literacy inclusive of collective efficacy conditions and the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement for every elementary school principal, their supervisor, a leader from their LEA, and literacy specialist from their LEA.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Legislation SB 127 
Each elementary principal and a principal supervisor, member of LEA leadership, and LEA literacy specialist shall complete the professional learning described in Subsection 1 before July 1, 2027.
