Description

Purpose

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding between the Utah State Board of Education and Department of International and Cross-strait Education, the Ministry of Education, the Republic of China is for main objectives for the cooperative programs that will be developed under this MOU the improvement of the quality and extent of the teaching of Mandarin Chinese language and culture in Utah, and the English language and North American culture in Taiwan.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a), 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “School Official Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
