Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and RMC Research Corporation is to provide K-12 Broadband/Hotspot Grant Program evaluation services.

34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Utah Code Title 63N, Chapter 17, Part 3-Sections 301 and 302
According to Justia Law. This chapter establishes the Broadband Access Grant Program, which includes provisions for supporting broadband access for K-12 students.
