Description
Purpose
The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Cambium
Assessment, Inc formerly American Institutes for Research in the Behavior Sciences
is to provide a computer adaptive statewide assessment for Utah students in grade
3-8.
Legal Authority
34 CFR § 99.31(a), 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “School Official Exception” of the Family
Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Utah Code Section 53E-4-303
Mandates the adoption and administration of statewide standards assessments, including
computer adaptive tests, for students in grades 3 through 8.
