Description

Purpose

The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and Shmoop University is to provide, consistent with Utah Code 53A-1-613, an online program to prepare 10th and 11th grade students to take the college admissions test that includes assessment of language arts, mathematics, and science that is most commonly submitted to local universities.

Legal Authority

34 CFR § 99.31(a), 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “School Official Exception” of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
