Purpose
The purpose of this contract between the Utah State Board of Education and the University of Kansas Center for Research is to provide Dynamic Learning Maps Alternate Assessment, a test that is designed to assess the progress of children with significant cognitive disabilities in attaining proficiency in Mathematics and English/Language Arts.
Legal Authority
34 CFR § 99.31(a)(3), 34 CFR § 99.35, 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b). This data sharing is permitted under the “Audit and Evaluation Exception” of the
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
