For Vendors

Overview

The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) School Safety Vendor Fair was created by the Safe and Healthy Schools team to allow as many interested vendors as possible to share their school safety products in an equitable way.

Details

While there is no current legislation regarding the specific areas of interest for the vendor fair, the USBE Safe and Healthy Schools team is exploring services that are being utilized in the field and gathering information around what is available to schools. This assists them in providing feedback to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) concerning school safety products.

Reminder: Utah is a local control state. LEAs, school districts and charter schools, make their own purchasing decisions. The USBE School Safety Vendor Fair does not directly inform LEAs about vendor products.

Areas of interest:

  • building construction and design,
  • bullying prevention,
  • crisis response systems,
  • mental health supports,Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and
  • technology systems (audio, emergency notification, etc.).

Events are held virtually 3-4 times per school year and are posted on the website below as a Request for Information (RFI) with the current scope attached. Cost cannot be discussed during presentations. The intentional violation may result in not being eligible for future solicitations. No contract or purchase will be made as a result of these meetings. This is for informational purposes only and is not an approval process.
