Mark R. Marsh

Biography

1st term, appointed in 2019

Mark R. Marsh has lived in Coalville, Utah, all of his life.  He is married to Julie Marsh, and they have two sons who were educated in the public education system. Mark enjoys the outdoors, gardening, reading and spending time with five grandchildren.

Mark has spent the last 14 years serving as a school board member of North Summit School District. This includes eight years as the board president, four years in the leadership presidency of the Utah School Boards Association and two years as the Chairman of the Pacific region for the National School Boards. Additionally, he has worked with post-secondary education by serving on the board of Mountain Land Applied Technology College as the board chair during a time of great expansion and growth.

Mark has worked at Home Depot for the past 16 years and works with contractors. Previously he operated Hi-Valley Feed Store in Coalville with his father for 20 years.

Mark believes in the children of Utah and believes that all children have the right to reach their potential in education without any barriers.
