Utah’s Career and Technical Education programs prepare students for today's exciting, challenging career world as well as ensure that employers in Utah have a skilled workforce. Our programs are designed to connect middle and high schools with postsecondary institutions and build partnerships with industry and the business world. Career and Technical Education training is vital. Nearly one-third of the fastest growing occupations will require an associate’s degree or a postsecondary vocational certificate, according to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor. Employers will be hiring more people with technical education than any other group. In addition, the fastest growing job categories in the United States will be technology-related. We are very proud of the excellent Career and Technical Education programs throughout the state, and we are committed to helping students achieve their educational and career goals. Within our Web site, you will find information about Career and Technical Education courses and programs, comprehensive counseling and guidance, work-based learning, student leadership organizations, skill certificate tests, program approval, college articulation, and detailed career pathways. The Career and Technical Education Web site is currently being updated with a fresh new design and many new and exciting features. Please explore our site and contact us with any questions or comments.
