Endorsement/SAEP Application - PDF

Minimum Endorsement Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• One of the following endorsements: Information Technology (except Introduction to Information Technology), Technology & Engineering, Design Technology, Commercial Photography, Commercial Art or Graphics/Printing.

Minimum SAEP Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• An assignment that requires the requested endorsement, and
• Verification of passing scores on all three sections of the Certiport IC3 exam, and
• A plan submitted to and approved by the state specialist outlining all requirements and when/where they will be (or have been) fulfilled.

Required Courses/Components

• Computer Technology Portfolio of Samples and Learning Activities, Completed at Computer Technology Methods Workshop
• Demonstrated Keyboarding Competency, 35 WPM with Touch Technique
• USOE-Sponsored Computer Technology Methods Workshop
  
• Verification of Passing Scores on All Three Sections of the Certiport IC3 Exam
  (minimum requrement for SAEP)

The Computer Technology Endorsement allows an educator to teach the following course:

• Computer Technology - CTE Business Education
