Overview of GED on TV --
in Utah
-
GED on TV is a free program allowing residents of UTAH
without a high school diploma to prepare for the GED tests
by studying at home. Lessons are broadcast on KUEN
and KUED television. (Current Broadcast
Schedule)
-
Another source for the GED on TV series is Utah
libraries. Please check with them since most public libraries
have the GED on TV tapes and a copy of the workbooks for usage
in the library or for borrowing.
-
If you wish to start into the program, you should have
at least your 9th Grade completed.
-
You can start GED on TV almost at any time the program
is on television. If you missed the first subject, start
with the second and then go back to the first subject when the
program is next shown.
-
You are welcome to video tape the programs for YOUR
personal use only. No cheating or we might lose
the right to show the programs on television.
-
It is highly advisable to have the manuals that go with the
televised lessons. Please check the current Broadcast
Schedule for more details.
-
You may also wish to seek assistance at local adult education
programs. Just call your local
school district for the phone number.
After completing the GED on TV course AND successfully
passing the official GED exam at a local
testing center, you receive a GED Score Report and Certificate
indicating your achievements.
-

GED ON TV, also known as GED Connections, is always
available. When one session ends, another starts right up....so
you are able to start at almost any time.
Thank you to
Utah
Education Network (UEN) for being a generous co-sponsor
of this series.
