Safety Certification Course with Utah State Office of Education

As part of the application for a secondary science endorsement, we ask that all applicants complete a safety certification.  This certification process helps assure that all of our science teachers are knowledgeable about the practices necessary for safe lab experiences for students.

The website for this free online course is Science Education Safety Module.

Once you have completed the entire course, please e-mail your completed worksheets to sarah[dot]young[at]schools[dot]utah[dot]gov(Sarah Young).  They will be checked for accuracy and completion and then you will be sent a safety course certificate of completion that you can use toward your science endorsement application.

You are also welcome to complete this requirement with safety courses offered through your district and/or Flinn Scientific.
